The marina is open year round. It is located south of Zadar near Sukosan along the coast and, covering an area of 125 acres, is Croatia’s largest marina.
Approach:
Boats enter between the breakwater to the west and the artificial island to the east; the extremities of both are marked with lights.
Mooring:
There are berths for 1200 boats. The marina is well-protected from all winds, but south-easterlies can create slight swells.
Facilities:
The marina consists of many facilities, including a reception office, water and electricity hook ups, phone hook-ups, a small shop, a hotel, a casino, a yacht-club, an indoor Olympic swimming pool, laundry and dry cleaning, sport grounds, medical services and a charter fleet. The marina is equipped with a lift and for repairs.
In the Area:
Sukosan is a small town of narrow alleys about 11km south of Zadar along the coast. Located on the bay of the same name it has many beautiful sand beaches. On the 13th of August, Sukosan celebrates its patron saint with the feast of St. Kasijan. Numerous national parks are in the vicinity of Sukosan and Zadar: Plitvice, Paklenica, Krka and Kornati as well as the nature parks Velebit and Telascica.
